Pete's career in construction, engineering and real estate started before he was born. His father was an economic development official who brought large industrial projects and facilities in Pennsylvania. One grandfather was a carpenter. The other grandfather was a structural engineer who while at the American Bridge Company worked on the Empire State building and Golden Gate Bridge. Several uncles and relatives were in the trades. All were builders
Pete's initial taste of working on a site was working on a survey crew during the summer between his sophomore and junior years in high school By the time he was 15 he was running the transit and preparing the field work topographical and property surveys for a Western Pennsylvania consulting engineering firm.
Pete recently opened PDouglas MBS to provide consulting services to owners, contractors, and other real estate professions. Prior to that, he recently completed the Ivy station Shay Hotel and parking garage in Culver City for LOWE. In Los Angeles he was a Vice President / Project Executive at Lendlease most recently participating on a 3.0 million square-foot mega project in downtown Los Angeles. He worked for Clark Construction on several noteworthy SoCal projects including a large high school and design build CA GSA 1.2M SF office complex.
Pete has been involved with the construction and development of over 25 noteworthy real estate projects in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, DC metropolitan areas including hospitality, residential, office, education, retail, medial, heavy and institutional projects in his 35-year career.
